PRESENTER RESOURCES

Please follow the below steps to ensure a seamless presentation experience onsite.

STEP 1: Download this slide template to create your slides.

  • All faculty are required to use the official IASLC slide template. Using the template ensures consistent branding and faster AV processing on-site.

STEP 2: Reference the IASLC Language Guide: How to Use It Effectively

  • Check your slides and abstracts against the preferred terminology
  • Replace stigmatizing or inaccurate terms with person‑first, neutral alternatives
  • Use Section 2.4 (Abbreviations) when word count is tight
  • These abbreviations were created so authors can stay within word count
  • Using these abbreviations ensures your work is aligned with IASLC values, even under constraints

Recommended Slide Count

The ideal number of slides depends on the presentation style. For a 10–15-minute presentation:

  • Data-heavy or detailed content: 8–12 slides
  • Standard business presentation: 10–15 slides
  • Visual storytelling or keynote style: 15–25+ slides (with minimal text and frequent image changes)
  • A practical structure for 10-15 minutes might be:
    • Title / Introduction (1 slide)
    • Agenda or objectives (1 slide)
    • Background / context (1–2 slides)
    • Main point #1 (2–3 slides)
    • Main point #2 (2–3 slides)
    • Main point #3 (2–3 slides)
    • Recommendations / next steps (1 slide)
    • Conclusion (1 slide)

Presentation Tips

  • Embed all graphics and videos in your slide file before submission
  • Keep text minimal; use visuals to support your narrative
  • Bring a backup USB drive with your presentation loaded
  • Notify IASLC staff in advance if your presentation includes video or audio with sound

Confidential Slides

If any of your slides contain confidential or proprietary data that should not be distributed or posted to Lung Cancer 360, you must flag those slides at the time of submission. Slides not flagged will be distributed per IASLC’s standard policy.

STEP 3: Upload your slides to the submission portal.

  • Upload your final slide deck here. IASLC Conferences Team will provide them to onsite AV ahead of your onsite presentation.
